Where to Buy Ammo Online: A Buyer's Checklist

There is no single best place to buy ammo online, but there is a checklist, and good stores pass it. Ask the question on r/ammo and the answers that hold up come back to five checks: compare on an aggregator, count the delivered cost per round, buy from stores that ship fast, trust only real stock, and check out the store before your first order. Here is each check, and how we handle it at Heisenberg Ammo in Phoenix.

The checklist, and how we handle it

• ✓Compare on an aggregator

Search the caliber on AmmoSeek, compare every store at once, and filter for reasonable shipping.

How we do it: We are an AmmoSeek Certified Retailer, and we send AmmoSeek our in-stock listings every 5 minutes. Put us side by side with anyone.

• ✓Count the delivered cost per round

A low price per round means little until shipping is added. Compare what lands at your door.

How we do it: We stock case and bulk packs, and most listings show a price per round beside the pack total. Shipping is UPS Ground by weight, and checkout shows the exact amount before you pay. Buying by the case spreads shipping across more rounds.

• ✓Ships in days, not weeks

The lowest listed price can come from a seller that takes weeks to ship.

How we do it: Orders ship UPS Ground from Phoenix within 2 business days.

• ✓Real stock, not out-of-stock listings

Buy from stores that show what they actually have and do not advertise what they cannot ship.

How we do it: Every pack shows in stock or out of stock, from hand counts at our Phoenix shop, re-synced after every online order. If it says in stock, it is on our shelf in Phoenix. Want to see it for yourself? Walk into our Phoenix shop Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

• ✓A store you can check out

Look into an unfamiliar store before a first order, and favor a known business with real people behind it.

How we do it: We are easy to check: an AmmoSeek Certified Retailer, a walk-in shop in Phoenix, and real people on the other end. Call or text 480-623-4515, or message @AskHeisenbergBot on Telegram, before you order.

What you get when you order from us

• Bulk and case packs. We are a warehouse-style store, so most of what we stock comes by the case or in bulk packs. Shop 9mm, 5.56 NATO or all ammunition, and see how to buy ammo in bulk.
• Discreet packaging option. Discreet Overbox Packaging ships your order inside a plain outer box. It is pre-selected at checkout for 1% of the merchandise subtotal; uncheck it if you do not need it.
• Phoenix pickup. Call 480-623-4515 to have an order set aside, then pick up and pay in the shop, and shipping drops out of the math. See ammo pickup in Phoenix and where to buy ammo in Phoenix.
• Real answers, fast. Ask about a load, a pack size or an order by phone, text or Telegram, and a person on our team answers.
