.22 Long Rifle Ammo

.22 Long Rifle (.22 LR) is one of the most widely shot cartridges in the world. It's used for plinking, small game, training new shooters and rimfire competition, and nearly every gun owner has a rifle or pistol chambered for it.

We stock Aguila Colibri (1B220337), an unusual .22 LR: a 20-grain lead solid point with no powder charge, driven by the priming compound alone. Aguila rates it at 420 fps and 8 ft-lbs at the muzzle, so it's about as quiet as a .22 gets, with almost no recoil. Aguila pitches it for close-range target shooting and small game.

Because it's so mild, don't count on it to cycle a semi-auto. It's made for bolt-actions and revolvers; in a semi-auto, work the action by hand. Packs run from 50 rounds up to 1,000.
