Rimfire Ammo

Rimfire ammo has its primer in the rim of the case instead of a cup in the center. It's inexpensive to shoot, quiet and has almost no recoil, which is why it's the round most people learn on. .22 Long Rifle is by far the most common rimfire cartridge.

Right now our rimfire shelf is Aguila Colibri in .22 Long Rifle (Aguila 1B220337): a 20-grain lead solid point with no powder, pushed by the primer alone. Aguila rates it at 420 fps, so it is very quiet. It was designed for bolt-action rifles and revolvers, so don't count on it to cycle a semi-auto; work the action by hand. Aguila pitches it for close-range target shooting, small game and young shooters.

It comes in packs from 50 to 1,000 rounds. If there's a rimfire load you want that we don't list, use Request a SKU on any product page.

You must be 21 or older to order. Orders ship from our Phoenix shop by UPS Ground, and shipping is charged by weight. See where we ship for state rules.
