5.7x28mm Ammo

5.7x28mm is FN Herstal's small, fast cartridge, designed for the P90 and the Five-seveN pistol. Today it's also chambered in pistols and carbines from Ruger, Smith & Wesson and others. It's light, flat-shooting and has very little recoil.

We carry FN's own GUNR SS201, a 40-grain full metal jacket training round. FN says it cycles reliably in all 5.7-chambered firearms, with recoil, velocity and accuracy comparable to its SS197SR. FN lists 1,700 fps from the Five-seveN and 2,040 fps from the PS90. Brass case, boxer primer.

It comes in a 50-round box, a 250-round pack and 500 and 1,000-round cases. 5.7 costs more per round than 9mm, so most shooters buy the case and save the per-round difference.
