6.5 Creedmoor Ammo

6.5 Creedmoor was introduced by Hornady in 2007 for long-range target shooting and became one of the most popular hunting cartridges in the country. It shoots flat, handles wind well for how little it recoils, and nearly every bolt-action maker chambers it.

We carry Hornady American Whitetail 81489: a 129-grain InterLock bullet with an exposed lead tip for controlled expansion and an internal InterLock ring that keeps core and jacket together, so it holds weight on deer-sized game. Hornady lists 2,820 fps and 2,277 ft-lbs at the muzzle from a 24-inch test barrel, and says it works in semi-autos as well as bolt guns. Made in the USA.

It comes in 20-round boxes and 200-round cases. It's a deer load, and a good fit for Arizona mule deer and Coues deer hunts where shots can stretch across a canyon.
